Perana Set Design, a thriving enterprise specializing in event management and training, has flourished in the events industry for over a decade. Originating from modest roots, the company’s journey began in 1999 when its founder, Naven, acquired materials from a friend emigrating abroad for a mere R300. Armed with determination and a handful of fabric, Naven, despite lacking prior draping experience, embarked on constructing basic draping styles in his backyard.
With steadfast dedication and growing acclaim, Perana Set Design’s director seized the opportunity to establish the company’s own presence in the events management and décor realm in 2015. Officially registered in 2017, Perana Set Design marked a pivotal milestone in its evolution.
In 2015, the “Learn to Drape” workshop was introduced, swiftly gaining traction as a leading draping program. To date, Perana Set Design has successfully trained over 450 delegates through these dynamic workshops, fostering a community of skilled individuals across South Africa.
Central to its mission is the empowerment of fellow South Africans, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to thrive as events entrepreneurs and launch their own ventures. Comprising a seasoned team of professionals spanning events, décor, corporate communications, marketing, legal, and sales, Perana Set Design stands as a beacon of expertise and opportunity in the industry.
